Interview at HSBC Electronic Data Processing (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd.

Assalamualaikum..

Alhamdulillah, already completed interview with HSBC Electronic Data Processing (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd  at Cyberjaya. Feel very relieved, despite the earlier nervousness out of control. Interview starts right at 2:00 pm. This interview is to position "Global Support Executive-Global Banking and Markets". This interview got a couple of levels.

Stage 1: Telephone interview.

Thanks HSBC for calling me a few times because I keep getting missed calls. huhu.. My telephone interview occurs, when I came to make a clearance in my beloved IIUM. But I try to do as good as possible even in the panic. All questions asked, I tried to give the best answer. After completion of the interview, the interviewer said, if I managed this interview, that I can go to the next level.

Stage 2: Grammar Test

Alhamdulillah, I made it through the first stage. When I arrived there, a little explanation provided. Today, I will undergo 3 stages. But, prior to the next stage, I have to pass English Test. English Test  are quite tough and given very little time. There are 3 section along this English Test.

a) Errors in grammar. Select the right one. Each question is given only 30 seconds.
b) Vocabulary. Fill in the blanks. within 5 minutes.
c) Listening. I need to select the appropriate answer.

At first I thought I failed, because if fails, I need to go home immediately without continuing the next stage. And, Alhamdulillah. I made it to the next stage.

Stage 3: Human Resource Screening

When my name is called, continues to dominate how nervous I am. HR staff ask all the necessary documents and forms. I tried very hard to hide the nervousness in my heart. huhu.. Every question be asked by the HR staff, I try to respond as good as possible and convincing. Quite a long time, and finally finished and she asked me to wait until the final stage. Alhamdulillah.

Stage 4: Management Interview

Finally, batch interview at 2.00pm, to the final interview, just stay 4 candidates. Alhamdulillah. Did not expect I made it to the end and I was the only female left. :) And I'm also happy because I've got IIUM friend, Syahmi between the four of us. When my name is called, two interviewer was ready for my interview.  I feel it takes a very long time, and the various questions posed to me and various explanations are provided.. I try to give all my best, and try to understand everything that is explained by them. Exactly 5.10 pm, I can go home and I am very relieved. At least, I have tried my best. Now, I can only pray and tawakal. Thanks to my father and my Mr. Z because sent and fetched me. :')

Today, ICMGTS assessment results will be announced. I do not want to put high expectations, but I will continue to pray and tawakal. Other than that, I have to be ready for the next interview session for position "Executive, Credit Control" in Hong Leong MSIG Takaful in Petaling Jaya, next Wednesday.

May Allah ease everything. Amin.

Assessments Session: Islamic Capital Market and Graduate Training Scheme (ICMGTS)

Assalamualaikum...

This is the first official interview in the history of my life. Although the interview was conducted in different ways, I like to find it done. It used the assessment as a way to find trainees for their program.

Due to some other commitments, ayah can't send me. I had to drive by myself to the Securities Commission, at Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur. Alhamdulillah, with the help from mak su, I can get there early. assessments session started at 9 and I managed to arrive at 8.15 .. :)

After only register in the main lobby, I got the access pass. yeah, I'm agent 007 .. hehe .. after that, I went to the Hall 3 and register for the attendance. I placed in group 1, probably because the name started with the letter A. huhu.. There are 3 students from IIUM, so, not feeling very alone. :)

Various tasks we had to accomplish during the assessments session:

1) Written Test: We need to select 1 topic from 3 topics provided and must be completed within 20 minutes, no more than 300 words.
2) Listening Test: Based on the video shown, we need to answer a short quiz based on the video.
3) Group Discussion: We were shown another video. Then given 20 minutes to make the discussion in the group. After that, 5 minutes to present individually.
4) Sell yourself  : Sound like something else, right? haha .. we were given just 3 minutes to promote ourselves  to convince evaluators, why we are eligible to participate in this program.

Precisely at 11.30, we're done. Alhamdulillah. We have to wait until the end of this month. If there is no response from the email, we need to understand that we were not selected. I've done the best, and now, only managed trusts and continue to pray to Allah. Hopefully everything is simplified. Now, I need to ready for OCBC video interview tomorrow. Best wishes to those who attended the 8th Batch of ICMGTS assessments sessions. :)

But, deep in my heart, I want to continue my studies in master. I have put a target. I want to do masters abroad to look for a different atmosphere. I already have a choice of course and university, and Insha Allah, I will sit for IELTS exam in March if no unforeseen circumstances. I will send university application and apply for scholarships. Hopefully everything is simplified.

But I do not forget to apply for the job. Unfortunately, most of my applications to the "Graduate Training Scheme". The reason is that may be I still not be ready to work because in my heart still want to study more.
Alhamdulillah, next week there will be two interviews:

1) OCBC: Deep Reach Programme
2) SIDC: Islamic Capital Market Graduate Training Scheme (ICMGTS)

I will endeavor to provide the best as possible. I'm trying to plan what is best for me, but I believe that God has a better plan.

May Allah make easy for all of my business, keep my heart from the things that are not good, given things a lot and get a great success in life. Amen.

The other half of me.. :)

Alhamdulillah..unofficially, graduated from International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Gombak. Alhamdulillah... #BECS #083 #128ch ~ hope all results goes well..amiin.. :) again, Alhamdulillah .. Insha Allah, completed five and a half year journey @ IIUM.

IIUM has made me today. Insha Allah better than before I know what the IIUM is. 2 years at the Centre for Foundation Studies (CFS IIUM), and 3 ½ years in IIUM, the Main Campus, Gombak, taught me various kinds of knowledge. Not only academic knowledge but also relates to the world and the hereafter.

Remembered several years ago when first day arrived at CFS IIUM with childish face, with conditions just to see the outside world, makes me a little engrossed and almost ignore my study. Although the results for the examination is not so disappointing, however, it was not my best effort. Still not arise in my consciousness despite CFS IIUM has moved from CFS IIUM, Petaling Jaya, to CFS IIUM Nilai, things like this continued until I managed to graduate from CFS IIUM and continue my degree at the Main Campus, IIUM, Gombak. Unfortunately, the attitude of not caring about my studies continued until the first semester in my first year. Alhamdulillah, suddenly there is something that knocked my heart for change. I do not get any sponsorship and I regret what I did before. However, I hold to the words of a person, "Late is better than never .."

Second semester at main campus opened my eyes to more serious in my studies. I tried forgetting the past, and try start a new life as a student. Alhamdulillah, year after year, the results showed an increase. The most heartening thing I was, I managed to make my father proud of me for every semester without fail. :) I got variuos appreciation from my dad and mama.. such as went to Jakarta, and special celebration for my Birthday at Taman Botani, Putrajaya with families and friends.. :)

Even in the learning process, I have had a lot of difficulties. Great pressure have looked myself for two semesters during the year 2 and year 3. Alhamdulillah. I had returned to normal with the support of family and friends.

".. .. rise and fall me here, has taught a variety of meanings and has shaped my life be like today. Hopefully the journey of life in the future simplified..amin.. :)"

"Here, various memories etched. bitter, sweet, down, up, all here. 5 and a half years in IIUM, taught me many things in being a human on this earth. I hope all here as a student, get out of my comfort zone and ready to face the outside world that is due to more challenging. Hopefully everything will go smoothly..."

Right now, I'm still waiting for the final exam results to be announced. Insha Allah, 30th january 2013. I expect nothing but to get good results so that I can pursue education abroad or looking for a job that could help my father, brother and sister also for my future. May Allah Ease everything .. Amiin ..

Alhamdulillah, finally, I will fill my holidays with full-time general english courses @ B.C. as astudent and as teacher assistant @ Kumon before the results come out and get the job permanently.. Hopefully everything is simplified. Yes, we have studied English formally from our 4 years old. And until the end of the semester at the bachelor's level, still need to finish the English language subject (EAW & EOP). And starting today, I have to return the focus to learn English and prepare for "a placement test". -. - Hopefully everything is simplified. amiin...
